JAMB Activates Change of Institution Process for 2026 UTME Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially activated the change of institution and course process for candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to the Board, candidates who wish to change their institution or programme of choice can now proceed to any approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre nationwide to carry out the process.

JAMB advised applicants to ensure they visit only accredited CBT centres to avoid issues during the application process.

The Board also announced that printing of the original 2026 UTME result slip will begin on Monday, May 18, 2026.

This development gives candidates the opportunity to make adjustments to their preferred institutions or courses based on their UTME performance and admission requirements.

The announcement was signed by Fabian Benjamin, Ph.D, on behalf of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Candidates are encouraged to complete the process early and carefully verify all details before submission.
