A Competitive Academic Event
A total of 21 students participated in this year’s spelling bee competition. Each contestant showed courage and confidence as they stepped forward to spell challenging words before their teachers and fellow students.
The competition was intense, with participants demonstrating strong spelling abilities and a deep understanding of the English language. After several rounds of spelling increasingly difficult words, the field narrowed until two exceptional students emerged as the top performers.
First Place – Adebowale Sarah Moyosore
The first-place winner of the 2026 Fesvic Spelling Bee Competition was Adebowale Sarah Moyosore, a JSS3 student known for her dedication to academic excellence.
Sarah’s victory did not come by chance. From a very young age, she has shown a strong passion for learning and academic improvement. Her teachers describe her as hardworking, disciplined, and focused on achieving excellence.
In preparation for the competition, Sarah studied and mastered a list of over 300 words within just two weeks. Her determination and consistent effort paid off as she confidently spelled word after word during the competition rounds.
Beyond her academic performance, Sarah also holds an important leadership position in the school. She currently serves as the Deputy Senior Prefect, a role she earned through her outstanding academic achievements and exemplary conduct.
Her success in the spelling bee competition further highlights her commitment to excellence and serves as an inspiration to other students.
Second Place – Idowu Grace
The second-place winner was Idowu Grace, a talented JSS1 student who impressed both the judges and the audience with her spelling ability and confidence.
Despite being in a lower class level, Grace performed remarkably well throughout the competition. Her performance demonstrated that determination and consistent study can lead to great achievements regardless of age or class level.
Grace showed great focus and resilience, successfully spelling many challenging words and proving herself to be one of the strongest contestants in the competition.
